About the artists
Working together since 2022, Cédric and Romane are known for their creativity, fluidity, and playfulness in dance. Over the years, they have developed their own unique identity, influenced by their solo practices, which include martial arts, contemporary dance, lambada and more. In the past two years, they have had the opportunity to share their world across Europe at various events and weekenders.
Renowned for his smooth leading, Cédric brings over 30 years of martial arts experience, including two decades of teaching. He began couple dancing with tango 15 years ago in Marseille and has since earned recognition for his modern and alternative style. He discovered Brazilian zouk in 2014 through Xandy and Evelyn’s videos and has been teaching it for six years, largely self-taught, with additional training, including 40 hours of private lessons with Leo and Ana. Recently, he advanced his lambada skills by completing Ariel and Letícia’s Level 2 course. Cédric also channels his creativity into crafting unique dance videos.
Romane started her dance journey with four years of ballet (ok, shewas only four years old, but it counts), and her most formativemovement modality was 14 f*cking years of gymnastics. She later discovered herself as a multidisciplinary dancer at the age of 19, exploring various dance forms such as kizomba, salsa, contemporary, afro, floorwork, twerk, circus acrobatics, and pole dance. However, where she truly expresses herself is within the world of Brazilian partner dance, zouk. Her unique approach to this dance style is influenced, surprisingly yet truthfully, by thousands of videos on social media, and this remains her primary source of inspiration. Zouk has taught her, and continues to teach her, valuable life lessons in presence, connection, self-confidence, communication, and it deeply informs her love in many ways.
